In Hirt, the tradition of brewing has been alive for 750 years, so selecting the best raw materials has always been the basis for perfectly brewed beer.We pay attention to the highest quality in all our raw materials and treat them with care.Pure mountain spring water from 24 of our own springs, summer barley from the region, the finest aromatic hops and Hirt yeast form the five quality pillars of Hirt Private Brewery as natural raw materials for real beer together with regionality, a sense of tradition, craftsmanship and passion.
In times of mass production, we are clearly bucking this trend and focusing on regional quality. The raw materials used in production are pure and natural, because real enjoyment requires high-quality ingredients.
"It's important to us that the barley comes directly from the region. By using regional raw materials, we also make an important contribution to the local economy," says Nikolaus Riegler, owner of Hirt Private Brewery.
Our Carinthian malting barley is produced under particularly strict guidelines, which guarantees consumers the best Carinthian quality. "The grain size, husk texture, extract content and an optimal protein content meet our strict guidelines," confirms Roland Winter, 2nd master brewer at Hirt.
